* Title
PAH emission in protoplanetary disks
* Abstract

In protoplanetary disks (PPDs) where new planets might form, a distinct set of broad emission features at 3.3, 6.2, 7.7, 8.6, 11.3, and 12.7 micron, is often detected, which is commonly attributed to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). In this talk, I will present our systematic study of PAH emission in PPDs using the infrared spectra of 69 PPDs around 14 T Tauri and 55 Herbig Ae/Be stars. We modeled these emission features in terms of astronomical PAHs and derived the size distribution and the charge state of the PAHs. These PAH properties are correlated with the stellar properties such as stellar effective temperature, luminosity, and mass. We found that the characteristic size of the PAHs tends to correlate with the effective temperatures, which can be explained by the preferential photodissociation of small PAHs. At the end of the talk. I will briefly explain our ongoing project to develop a PAH spectral and band-ratio library and introduce the Large sky Area Multi-Object fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) in China.
