Donation For Astronomy Program
Please join us on the journey to reveal the secrets of the Cosmos
Astronomy, finds answer to root questions of human about the universe is academia which is cutting edge and the oldest. Continuous support and great strength are needed to cultivate talents who will lead Korean Astronomy while conducting global research and to share the secrets of the universe with you through various popular science activities.
Your valuable donations have been meaningfully used to expand various research and educational facilities, including scholarships for students, introduction of new telescopes, expansion of books, and operation of research centers.
(e.g. Choi Eui-gun and Kim In-ha Scholarship – Scholarship support every semester based on donations from families of astronomy students; Lee Sang-gak Telescope – Building research and educational telescopes based on donations from honorary professor Lee Sang-gak.).
However, there is still a lack of funding for a robust research and education infrastructure. We would appreciate it if you could send us a lot of strength to take a leap forward to the global level in basic science education and research.
In particular, thanks to donations, the astronomical projection hall, which was used to popularize astronomy for students and the general public, was reborn as the “Gwanheo Cosmos Hall” in 28 buildings. We still need to secure operating budgets for various activities here.
